The Power of Prayer

There is a crazy thing that happens when a group of people come together and pray! I have been struggling with some health issues going on in my life, and last week, on the 25th of March, a group of friends, some are shown above, came around me and laid their hands on me and prayed. They prayed that I get answers, they prayed that the Lord puts his hands on me and heals. They prayed over my knees, my back, and so many other things going on in my life. At the end of the night before we all left we worshiped and we sang, and we praised the lord that we all love greatly. As I was driving home that night there was a passage from Exodus, Ch 23, vs 25, came into my head

"Worship the LORD your God, and his blessing will be on your food and water. I will take away sickness from among you…"

I went home that day, after not knowing precisely what was wrong for over three months, I injured myself in late November, and I just prayed. I just asked the Lord to just know what was going on with my life. I went to bed shortly after that.

Tuesday and Wednesday I did the same exact thing. I prayed for answers, and for healing. But part of me just felt that I wasn't going to get what I wanted. Wednesday night before I went to bed I just asked the lord "Please just assure me I am going to be okay" and I said "amen" and went to bed.

I woke up at 7:15 the next morning to a phone call, from my physical therapist. And he had an answer and a way forward with that I was dealing with. He asked if I was able to come in at 8:00 that morning and we would talk. So I had quickly got dressed and ran to my car. As I turned my car on the song that was on the radio made everything so much better. The first time that I heard this song was at such a hard time in my life, the first time I listened to this was right after my grandfather had passed away. The song is listed below, it is called "Do It Again" by Elevation Worship!

When I got to the doctor's office, he had told me that I have caused Tendinosis in knees. What that is is a degeneration of the tendon’s collagen in response to chronic overuse; when overuse is continued without giving the tendon time to heal and rest, such as with repetitive strain injury. I didn't even know what was going on, but with my job, I just pushed past the pain. So now I have to learn to adapt to new injuries and overcome more obstacles. But this has taught me so much about the power that prayer has.

There are so many people out there who need help but are too afraid to reach out and ask for it. If you ever need anything don't hesitate to ask, I am always willing to pray for someone. And you don't even have to announce it, we can do it privately.
